The Basilica Cistern is the largest of ancient cisterns beneath the city of Istanbul, built in the VI century, during the time of Justinian…It is a wonderful place, and in one of its corners is what I am using for answering to Sue´s challenge: «Face»…I am talking about the two «Medusa column bases»…
Here is a picture of the upside down Medusa…
Take care! It is said that in this way the power of the Gorgon´s gaze disappears…But you never know…
That’s terrific, Ilargia – super shot, great omposition, and what a face! 🙂
Thanks a lot M.!!!! The base with the face is impressive…Also because I guess some of us we are bewitched by the Medusa´s gaze legend….
nice pose!
Thanks a lot! 🙂 🙂
Beautiful shot Ilargia, and perfect for the challenge. My shot of this lady didn’t turn out quite as well 🙂
Oh!!! Thanks a lot for your words…But…When did you post it?..I would love to see it!!!
I don’t think I included it in my Istanbul post. Shall have to check 🙂
LOVE IT 🙂
Thanks a lot Sue!!!
