My Sigh…Walking alone

The Basilica Cistern is the largest of ancient cisterns beneath the city of Istanbul, built in the VI century, during the time of Justinian…It is a wonderful place, and in one of its corners is what I am using for answering to Sue´s challenge: «Face»…I am talking about the two «Medusa column bases»…
Here is a picture of the upside down Medusa…
Take care! It is said that in this way the power of the Gorgon´s gaze disappears…But you never know…
Even when walking in the middle of the night
You can find a timeless light…Look up!
A pic taken tonight…In answer to Weekly Photo Challenge: Up!
This week Ailsa´s challenge is great….»On the road»…
I have to say C. and I travel a lot of kilometers together every year….It is a kind of ritual: There is a car, there is a challenge, there is a destination, there is a group of friends from every where…And there is The Road…
Europe is wonderful, so one can cross from one country to another country without even realizing…And the landscapes are great…
One important thing every copilot has to take into account if he/she wants to be a really good copilot is to have a very clear idea of what » Great landscape» means to your pilot!
Of course, there are traditions…We will always find a tractor or something like that…You can bet it!
.
But it does not matter…I do not know why, but on the road everybody develops that kind of friendly style in moments of «male bonding»… You know… «All for one…»
May be it has something to do with who you meet along the way….
Ejem….I was thinking more about this kind of «Who»…
So….Trust me…
Even if you think it is too hot..
…Even if you are afraid of getting lost…
(Click here if you want to see more funny traffic signs)
…There can be always a new adventure in front of you….
Just follow the road!…
Ailsa´s theme for this week is «Transportation»…
Ailsa is very right when she says two things: that the mode of transport we choose affects the whole experience of the journey…And that these modes of transport vary according to culture, history, geography…
This time the Weekly Photo Challenge is about «Reflections»…
I liked so much the challenge I brought C. with me this morning to the city…And here is what we saw…
WALKING THROUGH LEON, SPAIN, WITH A GLASS OF WINE FULL OF WATER!
Plaza de la Regla
Cathedral
Pilgrim´s Cross
Parador de San Marcos
Enjoy the city!
…Solitude….That brigs to me a lot of thoughts….What do we do when we are alone? What do the others see?
…Mystery…Sorrow…Mourning….Thinking…Just relaxing…
Here come few pics…From everywhere in the world….
Reading…In a little village of Galicia, Spain…
Studying…On the steps of «La Explanada de las Mezquitas», Jerusalem…
Mourning for a beloved one…In Jerusalem…
Praying… in Estambul…
Thinking about…Who knows!…in Petra, Jordan….
Having a nap under the tree,..In Petra, Jordan…Life is life!!!
