Travel Theme: Through…

“But O, how bitter a thing it is

to look into happiness

through another man´s eyes”

A different approach to Ailsa´s this week challenge: “Through”

Through the keyhole…

There they were….

Hidden from the common eye…

The old door…

The new bicycle…

The empty birdcage…

There they were…

Hidden from the common eye…

Seen only through  the keyhole…

Were they preparing their escape?

PD: Sorry I have not been so active during the last days….I went to my hometown, to pay a visit to my family…And everybody was so happy to see me that they shared everything they had with me…Including their new adquisition: multiple flu viruses!!!! So, here I am, trying to recover!!!

…Far Out In the Distance….

“I once tried standing up on my toes to see far out in the distance, but I found that I could see much farther by climbing to a high place”

Dana´s Café, on the road to Petra, Jordan.

This week Ailsa´s Travel Theme is “Distance”…Sometimes, we need to stop, to breath, and to take a distant point of view…May be to see what we have around and we are not able to admire,….May be just to rest …Because being in the midst of everything can blind our eyes, our souls and our hearts…

Tilted Butterfly….

Rice paper wings

Lulling a lonely thistle…

Both cradled by the wind

Dancing in magic fuzzles….

Old Tilted Solitude…

There he walks…

Slightly Tilted…

May be listening to

 Those old secret whispers…

May be suffering from

That dark and sad solitude…

Simplicity…

Ailsa is looking for “Simplicity” this week….”….

And I love the quote at the end of her post: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” – Leonardo da Vinci…

I agree with that….And here is my contribution to the challenge…

Cultures and Lights

When standing at home
or travelling around…
When reading a book
or just watching the dawn…
Open your mind and your arms…
Open your heart and your eyes…
Open yourself
to cultures and lights…

Red and Black…(a New Interpretation)

Two of similar nature can never get along…

It takes two opposites to harmonize.
