WPC: «Local»

Dear friends…. This week the WPC is about where our heart is…

This is a very tricky question, the answer depending on «who» is asking it to you…

Your loved one? Well… In that case I bet the correct answer is «My heart is whith you, among your arms… I could go anywhere in the World if I go with you!» 🙂 🙂

Nice, isn´t it..?

But …. Would you like to know the truth?  After being travelling the last ten years, I can honestly say that a big piece of my heart is in my local city, Vitoria-Gasteiz…

And that piece is growing and growing…. May be it is a question of age???

«Shaken River»

This week  WPC proposes a nice challenge: turn the familiar into something abstract… I have chosen this pic: it is my river, a very sunny day….

I only had to put on an ND filter, take it with long exposure and shake the camera a little bit…et voilà!

Yesterday (!) was Tuesday… In my defense I must say Yesterday was Bank Holiday!!! 🙂 🙂

«Martes: I have a magical forest….»

Today is Tuesday… In Spanish is called «Martes», after the name of the roman god Mars…

Mars was not only the god of war but also an agricultural guardian… Because of that festivals offered to him were held in March (again, named after him) and in October, when the farming season ended …

So, I have decided to start a new project… Every Tuesday I will post a photograph of my forest, showing his beauty, his sadness, his happiness, his colors…. His magic in one word… All of you are welcome!

«Dragonfly in Black and White. Detail.»

Yesterday I was taking some pics of dragonflies in one of the forests that surround our place… It is crossed by a stream of clear water and there are many plants where those little libellules dance hidden and safe under long and green  leaves…

There were a lot of them….Shinning like gems under the Sun and the reflections of water…But Today, I am going to post this detail in Black and White…I think this way is possible to admire a little more the details… What do you think?

Ailsa reminded  us that today is «Arbor Day»…

I love trees…..And, luckily, I live surrounded by trees… These spring days, when I am  out with my «bestias», I enjoy a lot being surrounded by trees, and flowers, and colours, and lights in the forest….

Maybe later I will post some colourful photographs….But now, for today´s challenge, I would like to share with you this (to me) unique blossoming tree I found few days ago…
