«WPC: Detail»

This week the WPC is about «Detail»....

I have been looking for something a little bit special…. Then, I found this quote:

«To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail» (Giorgio Armani)

And I wonder… Do you think this mosquito knows Giorgio Armani? I am not sure about that, but what is sure is that he is paying a lot of attention to his work (I presume it is a male, … Do not ask me why! 😉

I call him «The Pharaon» because he looks like one of them, doesn´t he?

Well…It is Wednesday but with so many events going on these days I almost forgot it!!!!

Today I want to post this beauty I found in the forest two days ago…It has been really misty, and looked like the mist did not want to leave…

Yesterday I was cleaning the house…»Las bestias» are not with me, so I had plenty of time…

I found many things from the «old times»… And, suddently, I felt a little nostalgia for the past… Travels, adventures, people…

…I sat in the floor, in the middle of the room, surrounded by photographs and papers…

…Then, I went out, to the garden… The only colour green, and the only noise the birdsong…

…And I thought that everything was ok… There is a time for everything… For every moment…. For every place… And even for a rest…!

«The Old poppy…»

Friday was a great day…We saw a lot a lot of nice things in our daily walk…This is a poppy…It is old…Almost dying…But still with enough presence and colour  to take our attention…I was feeling a little philosophical…We are getting old as well…But our hearts are full of life and energy…

«Cosmogony…»

I took this pic yesterday, in the same spot than before yesterday…But it was later, and the Sun made nice reflections in the water…

When I saw it, it made me think about the Universe, and the cosmogony…

Everywhere we can find a microcosm, a reflection of a higher reality…

What is reality…?

Where do we live…?

What is this  dragonfly thinking while grasping that leaf…?

Looking at the bokeh… We know it is just the reflection of the water that flows below…

Or may be not…???

«Dragonfly in Black and White. Detail.»

Yesterday I was taking some pics of dragonflies in one of the forests that surround our place… It is crossed by a stream of clear water and there are many plants where those little libellules dance hidden and safe under long and green  leaves…

There were a lot of them….Shinning like gems under the Sun and the reflections of water…But Today, I am going to post this detail in Black and White…I think this way is possible to admire a little more the details… What do you think?

«The butterfly and the fly…»

This week WPC is «Your muse»...

Welll…

I have a soft spot for street photography but, currently, we are living in the country with two Border Collies (my «bestias») I need to stroll everyday!  Thanks to God, our place is surrounded by woods crossed by a beautiful river with a lot of little hidden streams…

So…I can say that is my main muse….

Green drops after «La noche de San Juan»…

 

Tonight has been «La noche de San Juan»…It is the shortest night of the year and is full of beliefs and rituals, mainly related to fire, forest, and water… (http://www.lavozdegalicia.es/noticia/informacion/2015/06/22/diez-debes-saber-sobre-noche-larga-ano/00031434969838625288153.htm)

I did not jump a bonfire…

I did not jump nine waves….

I did not leave a little box open in the forest to cath one wizard and then ask for a desire…

I did not wash my face at midnight to remain attractive at least for one more year (without a mirrow nearby, or the magic will not take effect!)

I did not recollect some magical herbs, hidden from the light of the moon…

I did not keep a little bunch of ivy under my pillow with a white paper with a written desire…

I did not mark a tree with a cross while making a promise that will remain unbroken…

…But this morning, while on the garden, I saw a lot of little lights dancing on the grass…

And I felt really blessed…
